Following Puckstop’s (Bauer’s UK distribution partner) acquisition of exclusive distribution rights, the client team were presented with an unparalleled opportunity to expand Bauer’s presence in the UK. However, at the time, Bauer’s digital infrastructure couldn’t support these ambitious growth plans.
Recognising the need for a transformative solution, Puckstop/Bauer UK partnered with Evoluted at the backend of 2023 to create a cutting-edge e-commerce platform capable of streamlining B2B operations whilst elevating their B2C user experience.

From the outset, we knew the platform had to excel in serving two distinct audiences:
B2C Customers: Amateur players, semi-professionals, and university teams seeking premium equipment. For them, the experience needed to be intuitive and engaging, with clear product details, custom sizing options, and a frictionless checkout process.
B2B Retailers: Independent sports retailers and professional teams required tools that could simplify complex bulk orders (often ranging from £20-£50k) therefore efficiency and reliability were paramount to strengthen their partnership with Bauer.

Shopify Plus was selected as the foundation for its unparalleled ability to integrate enterprise-level B2C and B2B features into a single cohesive platform. Its flexibility allowed us to tailor the experience to Bauer’s specific needs, while its scalability ensured the platform could grow with the brand.

With a January 2024 deadline looming, our agile approach prioritised efficiency without compromising quality. By breaking the project into focused sprints, we maintained momentum and adaptability; overcoming challenges as they arose. This relentless focus enabled us to launch the platform in November 2023, two months ahead of schedule, giving Bauer UK a critical head start in generating revenue.
